Why fundraise?

Adoption can be a long process—it involves extensive government background checks, days of classes, dozens of forms and more. Adoption also gave us the gift of being parents, and for that we are forever grateful.

Domestic infant adoption through an agency normally costs $35-65k. We have been chosen by an expectant mother and the associated expenses for this match are in the upper half of that spectrum. This money goes towards legal and administrative fees, agency fees, support for the expectant mom, etc.  We have worked to save up the first 75% needed, but could use our community’s help for the final stretch.

We also recognize the support of the adoption community and the many ways in which they influence our family. We will be donating 10% of any proceeds to the Lifetime Healing Foundation. (You can learn more about their mission to support women and birth moms HERE).
